Luma FAQs
Yes. Every new patient has a consultation and Good Faith Exam with a licensed provider before any treatment. We review your health history, goals, and any medications to make sure a treatment is safe and right for you. You can book in person or, for many services, a virtual consultation.
Generally adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, or sleep apnea. Your provider will review your medical history and current lab work (CBC, CMP, TSH, lipid panel, and A1c within the past 3–6 months) to decide whether GLP-1 therapy is right for you.
No. Luma uses compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, each prepared with glycine by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not the same as brand-name products. They are prescribed only after a medical evaluation, current labs, and provider approval.
Most patients start to see results in 3–7 days, with full effect at about 2 weeks. Results typically last 3–4 months. We offer Dysport, Letybo, and Xeomin, and your provider will help you choose the best fit.
Hyaluronic acid fillers like Revanesse can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed. Results usually last 6–18 months depending on the area treated.
Luma's treatments are self-pay and are generally not covered by health insurance. Pricing is listed on each treatment page, and your provider will review costs with you before treatment.
